South West Ontario Winter Lacrosse League

Captain Announcement - The Wolves

***BREAKING NEWS***

Captains will have an integral part in the formation of this league as they will not only lead their teams on the floor but will act as liaisons off the floor. Discipline matters and communication with players from the league will be funneled through the 4 league captains which makes these leadership positions vital. The Captains will also be responsible for selecting the teams in the upcoming draft on November 28, 2018 at Mcmullans on Highland.

Captain of the "WOLVES" for the 2019 season will be a guy who is from a family name that breathes lacrosse in the Region. Scott Hummel has played the game for over 20 years honing his skills within the Kitchener-Waterloo Minor LacrosseAssociation. Scott then moved on to Jr lacrosse where he spent 4 seasons with the Wilmot Wild Lacrosse Club and was captain for 2 of those seasons. Scott has also spent 3 seasons as part of the bench staff with the Wild and has truly shown what giving back is all about.

After the Wild Scott graduated to the KW Velocity Lacrosse club and has been the backbone of the defence for the young club in both of it's first two seasons and is currently an assistant captain.

Off the floor, Scott put on the "blacks" for 3 seasons as a referee within the KWMLA and has also got his trainer certificate where he assists where needed.

Please join us in welcoming Scott Hummel to the fold as captain of the "Wolf Pack".
