SWOLL 2022 - Week 4

A bit of a cold evening in Queensmount Arena but the weather wasn't too bad tonight.

The first game was full of offence while the second game was full of strong defence. In both games, a runaway second period was the big difference.

The early game had the Wolves (2-1) vs Bucks (0-3). The Wolves kicked out to an early lead in the first period. But the second period got out of hand and saw a 7 goal buck lead! Goaltender Blake Jensen had some huge saves to protect the Buck lead. In the third period, the Bucks started cherry picking while up by 6 for some reason, and the Wolves took advantage, tying the game at 14-14 late in the game. Ultimately it was not enough and the Bucks finished with 2 unanswered to win their first game of the year. 

Game two had some strong goaltending and defence. The Bears (3-0) vs the Falcons (1-2). The first period ended 1-0 Falcons! The Bears woke up in the second and popped in 5 goals to finish the second period 5-1. The third period was evenly contested but the Bears second period was the major difference here. The Bears maintain their undefeated season bringing Captain Steve Cooke to 14-0 all time.
