Week 2 of SWOLL kicked off with a back and forth battle of offences! The Falcons took flight early, soaring to an early lead against the Muskies. But the Muskies, undeterred, muscled their way back into the game, knotting the score at 10-10 before ultimately taking the lead in the third. The Falcons, however, weren't ready to be beached. They staged a furious comeback, narrowing the gap to 17-16 with the goalie pulled. Unfortunately, they couldn't quite seal the deal, leaving them with a bitter taste of defeat.
The faceoff dot was a battleground all night, with Koichi Nakamura and Adam Sturm trading blows like gladiators. It was a true clash of the titans, a spectacle that left spectators on the edge of their seats. All in all, it was a thrilling game that had everyone on the edge of their seats. Maybe next time, the Falcons will finally find their wings!
Game 2 saw the 1-0 Polars take on the 0-1 Wolves. The Polars were on fire, turning up the heat on the Wolves from the opening whistle. They built a 7-2 lead, leaving the Wolves feeling a bit frosty. Credit to the Wolves, though, for not giving up. They showed some real grit and determination, but ultimately couldn't quite close the gap. It was a heated contest, with both teams dishing out some penalties, proving that there was no love lost between these two rivals. The final score, 13-10, showed that the Polars were clearly the cooler team, leaving the Wolves howling in frustration.
