Week 2 - 2026
Week 2 in SWOLL: The Blowout Blues
After a Week 1 that was defined by nail-biting, one-goal games, Week 2 of SWOLL came in like a wrecking ball. The tight-checking, fast-paced action was replaced by dominant offensive displays and lopsided scores.

Game 1: Muskies vs. Bucks
Final Score: Muskies 13, Bucks 5
The Muskies, who were my -1.5 favorites coming into this one, absolutely dismantled the Bucks. The big story was the season debut of Shane Haliwell for the fish. He wasted no time making his presence felt, putting on an absolute clinic with a staggering 7 goals and 2 assists.
The Muskies jumped all over the Bucks from the opening faceoff, building a commanding 5-1 lead in the first period. The onslaught continued in the second, with the lead ballooning to a massive 12-4. The Muskies cruised in the third, taking their foot off the gas for a final score of 13-5. The Bucks, who were +1.5 underdogs, just couldn't keep up with the firepower.
Game 2: Wolves vs. Polars
Final Score: Wolves 16, Polars 6
This game followed a similar script to the first. The Polars were the -2.5 favorites, but it was the Wolves who came out hungry. They capitalized on some early struggles from the Polars to take a shocking 8-2 lead after one.
The second period was more competitive on the scoreboard, ending 12-5, but the Polars were fighting an uphill battle. They struggled to transition the ball, while the Wolves maintained long possessions, wearing down the "Bears" who seemed to throw in the towel midway through the game. The Wolves padded their stats in the third for a 16-6 victory. The Polars, who were my "Lock of the Week," suffered a stunning upset at the hands of the +2.5 underdog Wolves.
Standings & What's Next
After the dust has settled on Week 2, all four teams are deadlocked at 1-1. The Wolves currently hold a slight edge for first place based on goal differential.
We now head into a Christmas break, with the action resuming on January 7th. We'll see the Polars try to bounce back against the Bucks, while the Muskies will look to keep their momentum going against the Wolves. Happy holidays, SWOLL fans!
