South West Ontario Winter Lacrosse League

Week 3 Recap

It was a great night for lacrosse last night at Queensmount and teams came out fired up and ready to play.

In the opener, the Blue Lizard Productions Ltd Wolves (1-2) had a full bench for the first time this season and proved too much for the Jukebox Lacrosse Falcons (0-3). The Wolves offensive outburst was lead by the Commish and Lacrosse Savage game MVP Richard Haan who had 6 goals and 2 helpers to lead his team to victory. The Falcons leading scorer Kyle Rushton chartered a flight in from work commitments but was unable to stoke the fires of the birds and they drop to 0-3 on the season. Make your final score 15-8.

In the highly anticipated game between the two unbeaten teams the boys took a minute to pay tribute to fallen ZRW employee Walter Cabrera with a moment of silence with owner JJ Ziegler on hand. The Lacrosse Savage/ZRW Restoration & Waterproofing Inc Bull Dogs (3-0) came out on fire and took the Alpine Roof Services Bucks by storm. At one point the Dogs has built an 8-1 lead before the Bucks started their comeback. Getting to within 2 goals the Bucks simply did not have enough in the tank to come all the way back and drop this one 14-10 to the first place Bull Dogs. Lacrosse Savage player of the game was Mitchell McArthur who had 5 points for the Dogs in the win.
