South West Ontario Winter Lacrosse League

Week 4 2020 Recap

Week 4 was our second coat drive night, and we might have had more jackets than week 3! Thanks to everyone for their generosity :)

Game 1 - The Early Game
Rematch of week 1 AND a battle for first place in the league.
The Wolves looked a little short benched but had their big dogs in the lineup.

The game was a back and forth battle for two whole periods with the Hornets starting to pull away as the game went on.
Late second period, the wolves lost one of their big dogs; the second leading scorer in SWOLL; Jeff Brett to a knee injury.
Leading scorer Lewis White and his Hornets kept scoring and maintained a high pace with their bigger bench. The numbers for the swarm prevail as the Hornets finish with a dominant 3rd period.
ZRW Hornets lock down first place with a 4-0 record.
The Mortgage Intelligence Wolves drop to a second place tie at 2-2.

Game 2 - The Late Game
The Falcons came to play with young legs and a full bench. Meanwhile, Cog's herd was looking THIN. With the small Buck bench and the journeyman; Wayne Paddick in net. The Falcons were buzzin pre game.
And THEN the game started....
The Bucks went OFF in the first period taking an 8-2 lead into the second against a frustrated Falcon squad.
In the second period, the Falcon numbers started to show, as they clawed their way back.
The third period was more of the same, with the Falcons flying passed the Bucks to lock in the win and keep pace with the Wolves.
The LaxCoachLocker Falcons have their eye on 2nd place and a spot in the Championship.
While the Jukebox Bucks fall to 0-4. They are definitely not out of it, but it is looking like a spot in the Megabowl for the Bucks.
